This is a digital drawing created by Procreate.

I painted this piece because I was fascinated and inspired by an advertisement in Vogue Magazine’s make-up section featuring a picture of a beautiful girl in a similar position. I instantly fell in love with the element of stars and the girl’s posture, so I decided to paint her with some imaginative aspects. In this piece, the girl emotionlessly turns her head, about to turn back to the front, knowing that there is no significance in trying to look to what has passed. The background is a mix of purple and blue, showing the fluidity of the galaxy and universe in which the girl is immersed. Her soft flowing hair and the curve of her body echo the water-like galaxy around her. The main theme of this painting is that looking into the past is futile because it cannot change; humanity could “drown” in the waves of time if it tried to do so.
