Plant Murderer

Plant Murderer

My victims: ones of agriculture

Green, leafy, of botanical nature.

I didn’t mean to murder them,

But the drooping leaves and wilted stem

Seem to blame me with every inch of their withering existence.

It wasn’t purposeful,

My lack of remembrance to provide them with the basic necessity.

It wasn’t a dedicated decision.

My ability to murder those green leaves of innocence

Is not a capability I am prideful to possess,

But their slumping, sagging, faltering situation

Seems to taunt me with guilt each day.
