Reflection on the 23-24 Girls Golf Season with Insights from Star Player Jude Lee

The Orange Lutheran Girls Golf Team’s season just finished, and Jude Lee made Lancer history with her tying for 14th place out of 120 golfers. This concludes a long season for the Lancer golfers. In my interview with Jude Lee, she describes her experience with golfing and her love for the sport. Lee has been playing golf for 7-8 years, and she started playing in tournaments at age 9. Her favorite thing about OLu golf is the team because of the “great chemistry” and the coaches. The team this year she described as friendly and enjoyable. Some of her personal favorite times during the fall season were the bus rides because of the friendly banter.
When responding to the question, “What is your overall highlight from this year?”, she responded with the tournament they played at Temecula Creek Inn. In her own words, “I remember I was not having a good day and was +4 over 15 holes. On the 16th, I holed out for an eagle and finished the next two holes par-birdie to close out at +1. It was definitely a grind and I was proud of myself for the way I finished strong.” Wow! That story truly is inspiring, showing her perseverance and the true mental game of golf. This season will definitely go down in the Lancer history books.
