Oftentimes, students and young adults alike have lots of trouble finding places to store or invest their money to save it, and some don’t save at all! Properly budgeting is a very important part of financing and with consistency and patience, it can benefit people immensely. Setting aside a small portion of income periodically even in small amounts will make a significant impact. Amounts as little as $50-100 per month can help build a generous savings and build healthy habits that can impact other areas of life. Granted, not everyone has the proper means to set aside portions of income, but starting as soon as possible will benefit you no matter what. Travis Pinick, an experienced financier, after giving a detailed seminar about finance, recommends that students start investing in “low-cost actively managed mutual funds” or “exchange traded funds” to start out building savings that will grow and set young people up for success and comfort. Easier said than done, consistently setting money aside can be  difficult, but he encourages everyone to be persistent even if the amount put toward the account is small.

In addition to building financial stability and good habits for life, this practice also teaches the mind to be patient and faithful; trusting that the hard-earned money will grow and produce greater benefits than is presently available. In this, it is important to not pull the money out, which would break off its opportunity to grow. Looking to the future on this subject is key as persistence with saving and exponentially increasing the input into your fund will produce massive results! The money originally put in will have appreciated greatly, and you will have your patience and strategy to thank for that. Saving around $100 monthly of your income and putting it into growth funds, along with building life skills and cognitive strength, will end up showing $1,000,000 in your account by the time you are 60!
