The OLu MUSE

Season of Thankfulness By: Alexis Jensen

November is a time where families and friends come together to celebrate Thanksgiving and the holiday season. It’s a time to remember all the gifts God has given and to celebrate the special people who are involved in your lives. Three Olu students were asked the question,”what is one thing about Olu you’re thankful for?” and Delaney D’antonio (‘27) says she’s grateful for her “friends because they’re very important to [her]”. Keira Howell (‘27) says she’s “grateful for the teachers because they’re empathetic and accommodating” and that she “appreciates all the opportunities Olu gives students”. When Zahra El Kara was asked this question she stated she “appreciates the opportunity to learn everyday” and that “the [Olu] community is very supportive”. All of these students show a mutual appreciation for their peers, along with the incredible support system that the Olu faculty provide. The Christ-centered community at Olu gives students encouragement and positive feedback along with allowing them to branch out both creatively and academically through various programs such as academy’s, internships, clubs, sports, and more. To celebrate Thanksgiving, show your appreciation for those around you and continue to spread God’s love through good works everyday.
