Hey readers!
We are excited to announce the beginning of The OLu MUSE, a publication we have worked eagerly to create. This vision developed from a desire to have an easily accessible platform where students are able to express their passions through their work. Our goal is to provide a medium for creativity that encapsulates each author’s muse—or source of inspiration—in a way that incites passion in the minds of each reader as well.
On this website, you will find a myriad of works ranging from journalistic articles to human profiles to creative nonfiction. What makes this publication unique is the strong emphasis on passion over uniform; our content is based on what our writers feel compelled to produce, not an obligation.
Each of our staff writers is a member of the Humanities Academy at Orange Lutheran High School, however, we encourage any Lancer to submit their work via the button at the bottom of our website. After all, we believe in the importance of creating a community grounded in an appreciation for what we produce.
We appreciate all of the support we have received thus far and are grateful for an opportunity to pursue our ambitions in a way that enables others to do the same. We would especially like to thank Mrs. Wakeling, who has willingly put time and energy into pouring into our lives and making our goals possible. Lastly, thank you to our viewers. We hope that you enjoy all of our hard work and are excited to follow along as our journey begins.
Sincerely,
Editor-in-Chief Ava Dunwoody
