Medium: Graphite
This artwork is a piece that was made to portray a memory from my life. Bellatrix is the name of the cat sitting on the chair. I decided to use graphite as my media because she passed away a few years ago, and I could never remember a time without her being in my life; therefore, the graphite provides the sense of an old photo like a memory. Bellatrix had a very sassy and authoritative personality, and she sits on her chair as if she was a queen on her royal throne. In the background to the left, is her favorite plant called foxtails which she would always play with.
