Twenty-nine thousand, two hundred and twenty six.

A running number of lives lost.

A number that is continuous.

A number that never ceases its endeavor to increase.

The invader that one has one goal: to survive.

A virus that weakens one’s body.

A virus that weakens one’s will.

A virus that destroys humanity’s connection.

It affects countries and people alike.

Forming a world that never ceases its arguing.

Forming a world that never finds its unity.

Forming a world that cannot find peace.

Humanity cannot come together for the sake of the greater good.

Creating unity that is lost.

Creating unity that can be rediscovered.

Creating unity that can connect humanity in a time of confusion and uncertainty.

Twenty-nine thousand, two hundred and twenty six.

Lives to remember, cherish, and uplift in this time of turmoil.
