a single drop of rain

a lone revelation

end the drought and your reign

i’m no abomination

the death of my garden

a seeming atrocity

granted me a pardon

from the monopoly

that you had on my mind

your ideals, my fetters

enslaved me my whole life

i’m no longer your debtor

my clarity has written my past self an elegy

now i’m a note at the beginning of a melody
