Whether you’re a girl or boy, young or old, you have probably worn or owned a piece of jewelry in your lifetime, and with this you have most likely had to make a choice: gold or silver? This may seem like an insignificant or even childish question But it is evident that one’s personal preference between gold or silver has a lot to say about their personality and upbringing.

Personally, I strictly wear gold. This is because it not only suits my skintone better, but I also associate it deeply with India and my upbringing. Wearing gold jewelry has been a constant in my family, so wearing it feels like a legacy—a connection to my culture. Other people may have a similar deep-rooted reason to their personal preference or have just liked one color better;nevertheless, it may still  have something to say about them as a human being.

For example, people who wear gold often associate the metal with being traditional and delicate. It is not often that you see big and heavy chains or pieces of jewelry that are made out of real gold because of how expensive it is. So, people who tend to pick gold jewelry often appreciate a sleek delicate look and may have an expensive taste as well.

Silver wearers tend to be more on the rebellious side;this is because more types of jewelry pieces are able to be made in silver or metal, so experimentation with new styles and looks is possible. It is often that silver wearers are artsy and creative people who like to think outside of the box.
