On Tuesday November 7th, many of our very own friends and classmates from Orange Lutheran were inducted into the “National Honor Society”, this is a great honor and achievement for them and it is important that they are celebrated!
What is the National Honor Society, also known as NHS the National Honor Society is a distinguished academic honor society committed to recognizing and serving the highest-achieving student scholars in many high schools across the nation. It requires rigorous academic criteria and more importantly, extreme success in 4 specific pillars; Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service.
All of these students had to complete a great quantity of hours in each of these pillars to make it this far and to be inducted, and that is something to be proud of. The students (juniors and seniors) were able to walk across the stage of nechita, collect their certificate, and officially sign their name into the official National Honor Society induction book.
4 seniors were able to speak about one of the 4 pillars of the National Honor Society that they have exemplified wonderfully. Mateo Ambriz spoke about his scholastic achievements, Ashley Lee spoke about her experiences in leadership, Kate O’loughlin spoke about her experiences serving others, and Cambria Darling talked about building her character throughout her life.
Congratulations for this special achievement inductees!
