The curtains fall, but I am wide awake.
The movie scene still plays in front of me.
Now it is somehow making my head ache,
Tap tap, tap tap, the sound of devil’s feet.
Tick tock, tick tock, please stop, my head’s quaking,
Raven claws stretching from out the door’s crack.
Sweating, panting, my body is shaking,
Maybe tonight no sleep can I call back.
To my surprise, mother approached my bed,
Oh darling, you shall sleep with me tonight.
Feel her tender pat that holds back my dread,
Like being stroked by feathers very light.
Now I dive into my dream, not nightmare,
For my fear is now purged by mother’s care.
