Time, flows like a river

Society’s endless race

Culture, the endless giver

Of worry, what can slow the pace?

What are we running towards?

What’s at the finish line?

We’re a panoramic view of restless hearts

A flower in the field of time

Our fast paced dreams

Like a stream rushing home

This steady flow of hurry

Is all the peace we’ve ever known

What if we didn’t have to follow this river

The current: the normal, the safe, the cool

We could go against the flow, unhindered

Because when I look at you

It’s as if my heart stops beating,

And it’s never beat so loud

I’m finding something different

Yet I am safe and sound

The loud voices fade to the background

Contentment like never before

Going against the current

And finding something more
