Oh how I wish,

I could visit a magical realm.

A world full of fairies and centaurs,

monsters and mermaids.

Oh, how amazing it would be,

to fly on a hippogriff in a world of unknowns.

Experience firsthand the joys of old.

Make friends with a satyr,

and save the world, or maybe even just say hello!

Oh, sometimes I dream,

that I could’ve met the faun;

or be the one to travel to

another world in a closet.

Oh, once in a while,

I dream that I followed a rabbit,

and that he took me to a world of make-believe.

A place full of caterpillars and talking flowers,

even maybe cookies.

Oh, I think about,

home and the peace it brings me;

reminding me of a place called the Shire..

These stories are full of elves and hobbits,

sometimes even dragons.

And hey, these aren’t my stories,

and that’s okay.

But I will continue to be the little girl

who dreams that that they are.

Because if we’re being honest with ourselves,

I’m not the only one who dreams of the unknown.
