Sports can often allow us to open our minds and bodies to the gateway of living a happy and healthy lifestyle based on habit rather than force. This can come from doing sports at all ages, whether you are an adolescent or even an adult. Staying active is an essential element of our human lives as we are constantly learning and evolving as people.

On the physicality level, sports benefits both the younger and older generations as it motivates them to get up and get moving. Due to recent advances in technology, there has been a major decline in the amount of physical activity children and teens are gaining. Furthermore, incorporating sports activities into a child’s life has been shown impactful as they grow more active through the various challenges it provides.

So many benefits come from playing sports in terms of one’s health. Specifically, benefiting cardiovascular health, as well as burning fats through the increased metabolism, and even allowing greater strength and mobility through the body. It has also been shown to reduce stress-related problems as exercising leads the body to release endorphins in the brain that relieve pain and stress.

In terms of mental health, sports help benefit one’s mood because of the release of the endorphins previously mentioned and the increase of serotonin throughout the body. These two chemicals in the body are the most vital in terms of regulating a person’s mood. Another primary benefit of sports is the relationships and bonds that are created between teammates, coaches, and even opposing players. This can often lead to lower rates of depression and anxiety, therefore, decreasing suicide rates amongst the general population.

In conclusion, there are many factors for why people should incorporate sports and activities into their daily lives as it can help better their mental and physical health.
