Once he was in the ocean, free to swim

His fin upright, almost to touch the sky

Never thought the future could be so dim

Yet swam for miles, he never once was shy

Life in the sea was promised never cease

But once his guard was down, the promise died

His freedom gone and now he’s lost his peace

Taken from his home, no way to decide

His life, if it could even be called one

Confined to a small pool, no way to hide

So many eyes each day, the devil won

Dear Tilikum could not just stay aside

His anger brought his once beautiful life

To end as though he had committed crime
