It’s not just a shirt.

It’s the sweater I wore on our first date

it’s the necklace you gave me after one year

it’s the crewneck I had on when we first met

it’s the shoes I wore for our first kiss

it’s the sweatshirt, you gave me, that smells like you

it’s not just a shirt.

It’s the first jeans that the size was just a number

it’s the bikini that made everyone stare

it’s the dress that showcases off all my curves

it’s the crop top that let me be free

it’s the sweats I wear for comfort, not for coverage

it’s not just a shirt.

It’s the jacket I’d wear if The Killers had another concert

it’s the suit I would wear on my first day of work

it’s the blouse for the fancy dinner I could go on

it’s the hat perfect for a vacation to Aruba

it’s the overalls designed for the first time I ride a horse

it’s not just a shirt.

It’s the memories of us that make me smile everytime I wear it.

It’s the confidence I gained every time I put it on.

It’s the potential to make the perfect outfit.

It’s the shirt that has a memory sewn into the seams every time I wear it.
