the meaning of the word detached

can be found in certain books of this and that

with three different meanings in adjective form

not to be confused as uniform

“separate” “not joined” “aloof”

when put together in a phrase a clunky line that does not rhyme is made

the word itself is torn between three different takes on what it means

a reflection of the feeling inside

a detached person living outside of a rhyme

no lines to form

no scheme to follow

out of place “aloof” from the group

“separate” from themselves

“not joined” with past and present

always arguing as though life is a test

inkling on the edge of insanity

for a detached person never means

to become a labeled entity

of who am i? to me? to them?

only detachment in adjective form would need three words to describe

the feeling of living a        lonely             life
