Oh how I adore thee, the gleaming warmth upon my skin
The summer rays of golden grace rest on the meadows and bees therein
So great is nature’s gift, its presents perpetual joys
By and by falling as the rain and innocent as the rose
Watching the young turn grey with sagely poise
In the winter its trailing, blanketing prose
Under the veil of night, the icy breeze I swim through
Oh night, whose wisdom I implore from you
Under starry skies I feel the presence of something greater
The soft hymn of the cicadas when I shade my eyes
Overwhelms my senses, so careful is life’s cultivator
Each horizon like a painting I visualize
Like a bug ladybug landing on the crest of my hand
“Why to me are natures gifts given?” I’ll never understand
