Early one Sunday in August in the small town of Franklin, Tennessee; a town of nearly 6,000 people, one family’s lives were about to change. The Robertson family were getting into their church clothes when they got a horrific call informing them of a terrible accident that happened at the assisted living facility, the one that their grandparents lived at. The operator on the line told of the carbon monoxide poisoning the grandparents got, the alarms did not go off and sadly they both passed away. The police investigated the situation and nothing seemed off, it just seemed like the carbon monoxide detector did not go off for some odd reason. The loss of the grandparents harshly affected the Robertsons as these were their only living grandparents. The mother Jessica Robertson was deeply mortified at the loss of her parents and her husband Dan Robertson did not seem to be affected by this loss at all. He acted as if nothing happened whilst his wife and kids were in grief. Only six days later the family was eating dinner in their small house in the countryside telling stories of the beloved grandparents, and how they so greatly missed them. One of the kids, Jimmy and his brothers were playing outside after their meal when Jimmy went into the barn to get a baseball bat and glove; Jimmy and his brother Luke loved to play baseball after dinner, so Jimmy went into the barn and never came out. Luke was curious what was taking Jimmy so long and when he went into the barn he found Jimmy, face first on the floor, with blood drooling from his mouth. Luke sprinted back to the house screaming for his parents. He was terrified and out of breath but he muttered under his heavy breath, “Jimmy is hurt”. Both Jessica and Dan raced to the barn to aid Jimmy. But, it was too late, Jimmy was no longer breathing; there he layed in a pool of his own blood, breathless and pale. Luke, who had run back into the house to call for help, told the 911 operator of the situation and to hurry. The officers got there in around 8 minutes, along with an ambulance and they loaded Jimmy onto the stretcher and took him away. Dan went with him to the hospital whilst Jessica stayed to console Luke. The family was filled with misery for the next few days, unable to even fathom what had happened to their poor, healthy boy. The doctors called two days later and said they could not tell what had happened, Jimmy. They told of an undetectable infection that is caused through feeding a harmful bacteria in your lungs. This disease slowly asphyxiates you without you noticing, it blocks your airways causing death. And while the doctor explained over the phone to Dan, he got a call from an unknown number. He did not answer at first, thinking it was some kind of sales call or something; but when they called back he had to answer. The lady on the other end was breathing heavily and could barely even talk, her voice was horse but managed to tell him that his brothers family was in a car accident and none of them made it. Dan, full of distress, quickly drives down to the canyon where his brother and his family were traveling to find the Ford Focus 200 feet down the canyon side in pieces. Police searched the wreck and found that the brake lines were cut, this “accident” was not an accident, the police launched an investigation on the vehicle and where it was before the crash. But nothing showed that the brake lines were not working in all the footage they had, and nothing was tampered with on the vehicle but the brake lines were cut. Now, it was just Jessica, Dan and Luke. Everyone else had died in the last 3 weeks, the horror and grief they were all feeling was immense, no one left the house. None of them even talked. They lost almost everyone in their family, they were all depressed. Finally when they felt better Dan and Luke went to get groceries one day and when they got home Jessica was nowhere to be found, her car, phone keys, and wallet were all in the house. But there was no sign of her, Luke went to check the barn out in the back where he found Jessica, her back was turned to him when he ran up to her. When she turned around he realized something was off, she was holding an axe in which she used to brutally attack Luke, he tried to fight but he stood no chance. She swung at him with all her force and slit his throat. She dismembered him in the very room they had found Jimmy, after she used cyanide gas to fill his throat and stop him from breathing. The same thing she did to the grandparents with carbon monoxide. She had lost it, she was possessed with some kind of demon that filled her with bloodlust. She cut the breaks, she poisoned her son and the grandparents, she was the one to kill her family; and Dan, her previously beloved husband, was next.
